Busker
Don't have the skills to make money performing on a street corner!? Well now you can! Broadcast Busker is a Street Performance Installation that takes advantage of the money making opportunities of performing on the street for the lone performer.
The piece started off with a recording of myself playing on the street in Brooklyn, pressing it into a DVD and then setting up a TV, DVD player, "throw me some change signage," and a guitar case to collect the money. The whole thing is positioned as a franchise, where all you need is the previously mentioned equipment and this DVD.
The project was first done with Les Grand Traversees festival in France curated by Mark Jenkins. Multiple installs were running simultaneously.
